I’m proud that both of my books are published by Scribe Media.

Self-publishing is like building a house. It is complicated, expensive, and could become a nightmare if you don’t have the editorial and publishing expertise available to get it right the first time.

In 2020, I tweeted that I had finished a manuscript for the Navalmanack, but I had no idea if it was possible to publish it, or any inkling of what to do next.

Tucker Max gave me a pep talk (in his own way), and Scribe Media helped me publish The Almanack of Naval, which changed my life creatively and financially and gave me some (nerdy) street cred.

The team and publishing service at Scribe was incredible. I became a fan, referred friends, and hired them again for The Anthology of Balaji.

Scribe was experiencing financial troubles during this time due to the prior CEO, JeVon McCormick’s mismanagement of funds. Tucker later explained the disaster in length in his blog post about the Scribe Media Collapse and Rebirth.

I reached out to a couple of friends, and we all agreed that Scribe was an important company with solid fundamentals. It was worth the work to try to rebuild it.

After the transition, I was given the opportunity to lead this rebuild and was appointed CEO of Scribe Media . With the help of loyal team members, we’re turning things around and continuing to help authors publish their books with full creative, legal, and financial ownership of their books.

The story of Scribe’s revival has caught the attention of several websites and news agencies:
